(1) If anyone calls you on your cellular telephone and uses an automatic dialer, a recorded message, or an artificial voice, this may be a violation of the law. You can usually tell when someone is using an automatic dialer because you hear a pause after you answer the call and suddenly someone answers the phone.
(2) Take notes of of who is calling, faxing, etc. This includes the time of day, what is said, etc.
(3) Keep all faxes.
(4) Keep all voice messages made using an artificial voice or auto dialer.
(5) If you tell the person you do not want phone solicitations, make note of what you said, who spoke with, and the day you said it.
(6) If these calls automatic dialer, a recorded message, or an artificial voice involve debt collectors, the debt collection laws also apply.
(7) Put yourself on the national "Do Not Call" registry at https://www.donotcall.gov/and make a note tou yourself when you did this.
(8) Call a lawyer. While you may believe this is not a "big enough case," you may be wrong. Sometimes you can stop these companies from bother not only you, but others as well.
(9) Remember that "Caller Surveys" that try to sell you something are phone solicitations.
