Many people want a cell phone in their cars for emergencies and wish they did not have to pay for the service. Well, you do not have to. By law, 911 calls are free. You do not need a service plan with any company to make free 911 calls on your cellular telephone. Cellular phone companies do not like to tell people this because it cuts into their business. If you want someone to have a cell phone in their car "just in case," get an old, used, cellular telephone. Get the car charger, too. Put it in the car, keep the battery charged, and you are set. No need get any service. And in an emergency, just dial 911.
